Policies

Shipping:

All purchases will be shipped using UPS. You will be given a choice of ground, second day air or next day shipping.

Sales Tax:

Colorado residents are subject to the current Denver sales tax rate. At present, there is no sales tax incurred for purchases shipped outside of Colorado.

Returns:

Every effort is made to provide a detailed and accurate description, along with a close-up photograph, for each piece of jewelry. However, due to the inherent nature of the Internet, slight variations in coloring may occur. In addition, because every piece of jewelry is made with natural and hand cut gemstones, slight variations in the stones may also occur in items within the same series. I ask that you please keep these realities in mind when placing an order.

Please note: Commissioned works, special orders, exchanged items and sale items are all final sale items and not eligible for return.

All other items may be returned for store credit for the full sale amount less the cost of shipping and handling and tax where applicable. Returns must be requested in writing within 7 days of receipt of your jewelry and must be accompanied by a return authorization (RA) number.

This number is valid for 7 days only. Therefore, all authorized returns must be received no later than 7 days after the issuance of a RA #. To obtain a return authorization number simply send an email to dana@danabuschdesigns.com with “request for return” in the subject line and the following information in the body of the message:

Name, date of purchase, invoice #, item(s) being returned, and the reason for the return.

Only items that have not been worn, damaged or altered in any way, and that are received in their original packaging accompanied by a copy of the original invoice and a RA # displayed on the box will be accepted for return. Furthermore, Dana Busch Designs is not responsible for any damage incurred during shipping

when returning an item, so I strongly recommend you ship the item(s) in a hard-sided box, surrounded by sufficient padding and insured for the total value of the returned item(s).

Please note: C.O.D. packages and items without a return authorization number prominently displayed on the outside of the box will be refused and returned to the shipper.

Commissioned Works & Special Orders:

The personal nature of my company allows me the creativity and flexibility to collaborate with my clients. Therefore, I welcome the opportunity to custom design the perfect piece(s) of jewelry just for you. My unique approach ensures you not only end up with the piece(s) you’ve envisioned, but that you become an integral part of the creative process itself.

I am happy to provide you with a list of former clients who would be more than happy to share their experiences with you and speak candidly about working with me in this personal manner.

Commissioned works and special orders require a 50% deposit at the start of the project. The balance is due at the time of completion. These pieces reflect a client’s unique vision and so, are treated as final sales that cannot be returned.

A sampling of past commissioned works can be found on the website under Commissioned Works.

Repairs:

Every single piece of jewelry is designed and handcrafted by me. I put great care and attention into my craftsmanship and material selection to ensure that every item in the collection meets the high standards I set for myself and the jewelry I create.

It is important to understand that the pieces I create are incredibly delicate and are constructed using very fine wires and hand cut gemstones. As a result, the jewelry can be easily damaged or broken if it is not taken care of or stored properly.

Please refer to the care instructions’ section for information designed to help insure the integrity of your pieces.

In the event your piece(s) should require a repair, please contact me at dana@danabuschdesigns.com. The cost of the repair is dependent on the scope of the work. Please note some repairs may require the piece be completely remade. Also, you are responsible for all of the shipping costs.

Caring For Your Jewelry:

I describe my jewelry as “limited edition works of art for the body” because my jewelry is more than just another accessory. My clients value the attention to craftsmanship and detail, the quality of the materials, and the limited production of each style, knowing the piece they have purchased is a work of art designed to be worn rather than hung on a wall or set on a table.

The following care instructions are designed to insure your investment in one of my limited edition works of art for the body for many years to come.

Always store your jewelry in its own box or pouch to prevent it from getting broken, bent, scratched, damaged or tangled with other items. In addition to storing your items in their own containers, always keep your jewelry in an arid climate as heat and humidity can damage both gemstones and metals. For this reason you should never store you jewelry in a bathroom where it is routinely subjected to heat, humidity, and damaging chemicals produced by soap, hair products, and cleaning supplies. Never wear your jewelry while bathing, swimming, cleaning, working-out, or performing any strenuous activity. Do not wear your jewelry to bed. Apply all lotions, perfumes, and hair products, including hairsprays first and allow them to dry completely prior to putting on your jewelry. The chemicals and oils in these products can damage both gemstones and metals. Never put your jewelry in a jewelry-cleaning machine or submerge it in any kind of jewelry cleaning solution. Instead, gently wipe the surface of your piece with a soft microfiber cloth. Due to the delicate nature of the work, jewelry should only be worn in the way it was intended. For instance, necklaces should only be worn as necklaces, etc. Rubber earring backs should not be left on the earrings when they are not being worn. Instead, please put the rubber backs in the plastic bag provided to keep them supple. Always twist on and twist off the rubber backs. Never push them on as this may result in a bent or damaged ear wire. Gift Wrap:

All items come in their own jewelry box and are tied with a lovely ribbon.

I am happy to gift-wrap your purchase beautifully and include a personal

message from you for a small, additional fee. Please be sure to select the gift- wrap option at the time of checkout. You will then be prompted to write your

message and the fee will automatically be calculated and added to your order.
